Chances are… they didn’t. I’d suggest calling your Realtor, asking them to explain what happened. How long was the home on the market? What was the original list price? How many price reductions did they have? What was the list to sales price ratio? And more importantly; what have other homes in your neighborhood been selling for? Are their interiors comparable, have some properties been renovated, and others stuck in the sitcom sets of “The Golden Girls” or “Designing Women”? All these factors come into play when considering the value of your home. In the end, your home is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It is the combined effort of the Homeowner to showcase the property, and the Realtor to market the property the best way possible.
